Mackay Marine is a proven leader in the field of “turn-key” integrated bridge electronics and internal communications systems. Whether the need is simply a GMDSS station fitted into a custom console, or a full set of integrated bridge navigation, wing and ECR consoles, Mackay has the specialized background and experience to partner with our clients to assist them with defining the need and subsequently providing a completed system. Mackay’s Project Management Group works with new-build, retrofit, and military/government integration projects.
Our project managers are fully licensed Marine Electronics and GMDSS Service Technicians with decades of hands-on experience installing and maintaining marine electronics on all types of vessels. We have a thorough knowledge of IMO, SOLAS, and ABS requirements which must be considered before construction or installation of any system can take place. We apply our expertise to advise our clients and plan in advance – instead of draining your budget later for last minute engineering changes when schedules need to be met and time is short.
Mackay Marine has the ability to receive a specification, along with the ship’s general arrangement drawing in an RFQ format, and then respond with a quotation for fully integrated bridge navigation and communication consoles, based on vessel operations, size, and class. In addition, we have resources for complete interior communication systems for vessels including PA, GA, Talkback, SPP, CCTV, and TVRO. We can also provide a full fire and smoke detection system which interfaces to the PA/GA. Our integration proposals are based on the various class and IMO rules and we warrant our proposal meets or exceeds those requirements. ABS Class NIBS, NBLES and ENVIRO+ are newly requested additions to certification; Mackay is very familiar with the additional requirements needed for a vessel to meet those qualifications.
