The X160 Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) guards users against the duty officer unintentionally losing alertness. By demanding action regularly, there is a reduced chance of accidents and guaranteed awareness.

New regulations from IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) will require a BNWAS to comply with IMO performance standards. The X160 BNWAS is type-approved according to the Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm Systems legislation, as laid down by the IMO in resolution 128(75) and IEC 62616. Because of its approvals, all ships can install the X160 BNWAS.
