Service Coordinator – Algeciras

Mackay Marine currently has an opening in our Algeciras, Spain location for a marine Service Coordinator with the experience, qualifications, and skills outlined below.

Service Coordinator Job Summary

Mackay’s World Service (MWS) team coordinate service on a 24/7 basis for our international and domestic marine shipping customers in ports around the world, They work directly with ship agents, internal managers, and our customers worldwide via phone, fax, or email to provide service in locations that meet their needs as well as the best service experience possible. Our Service Coordinators communicate with all key parties throughout the service experience and diligently help to resolve any issues. Upon completion of service assignments, Service Coordinators will follow up with the customer, keep all key parties informed, review the technicians service report, and prepare invoices.

Regular “on call” weekend rotations are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Promptly answers phones, emails, and faxes to provide the best customer service possible.
  • Enters jobs and generates service call IDs in the company database.
  • Calls Ship agents to check on vessel movements
  • Validating customer credit
  • Sends completion reports to customers
  • Interfaces with the parts department
  • Ensures compliance with office processes including timely completion of service work, service pricing, and general record keeping

Service Coordinator Requirements:

  • Fluent in English
  • 3+ Years’ experience with service coordination and/or maritime sector
  • Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have MTS or equivalent
  • Excellent client service mentality.

Must be legally authorized to work in Spain without sponsorship.
