August 3, 2025 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER – GPS Rollover affecting JRC devices*:

  • JRC JHS-182 (AIS)
  • JRC NTE-182 (AIS Transponder)
  • JRC NTE-183 (AIS)
  • JRC NCM-983 (AIS)
  • JRC JLR-7800 (GPS Navigator)
  • JRC JLR-7900 (GPS Navigator)
  • JRC JLR-4341 (GPS Receiver)
  • JRC JLR-21 (GPS Compass)
  • JRC JLR-31 (GPS Compass)

*Depending on device, either ALL or specific S/N or CORE may apply

Without taking action, the internal dates/clock will either roll-back to a previous incorrect date, and display the wrong position, or the units can be expected to fail.  The impact is compounded when interfacing with other navigation equipment (ECDIS, GMDSS, SSAS. VDR, ODME, etc.).
