Mackay India Opens 2nd Locale on East Coast & Plans for Larger Mumbai Office

Since opening in late 2016, Mackay India’s 10-person Mumbai team rapidly turned a profit permitting expansion to a second office at east coast Vizag.   India’s 15 eastern ports are easily accessible from centralized Vizag; enabling Mackay field technicians to provide timely service to the entire coastline.

In a short period, Mackay India achieved:

• Class-approval by Lloyds, ABS, DNV-GL, BV, RINA , KR and NK (Annual GMDSS Radio Surveys)
• Certified for VDR/SVDR annual APT by Danelec Marine, Rutter, Netwave, and Highlander.
• OEM Certified for Furuno & JRC VDR, ECDIS, and Radar
• Awarded Diamond S fleet-wide Danelec VDR retrofit project; outfitting global trading ships.  To-date, successful completion of 21 ship installs; receiving the highest Grade 5 rating from Danelec.

Simultaneously, Mackay Mumbai’s operations are growing; they’ll move to a larger facility to support increased staff and inventory capacity in Spring 2017. Mumbai is one of three Mackay World Service (MWS) coordination centers, joining the U.S. and the Netherlands, to seamlessly address on-demand and emergency marine service inquiries 24/7 to coincide with vessel schedules in all ports worldwide.
